Hooded Merganser
The now resident bird in winter/spring plumage(thanks Joe) at Radipole RSPB reservre in weymouth, short of a first class ticket to the states I think this bird will remain here for a long time, it was weird watching it being fed bread by the locals but it seems to be feeding ok and looks in stunning condition.
Rather than taking close up shots of it in the sun I waited for it to move into a slightly more shady spot with the reflected reeds forming a great background.

Hi Craig,

I would try to crop from left side and bottom, I think it will improve the image.

I think you did it right for waiting till it was in a more shady place.

Whites might be a tiny bit hot (probably the compression) but great bird, great water colour which makes it stand out and a great reflection...
