This is a shot from earlier this year I took of the moon rising near Olsburg Marsh. I had a heck of a time downsizing it to upload, I kept getting halos around the tree, what do you think?
Looks pretty good, but there's something kinda strange going on around the moon. I also might try a different crop - the right half is lacking much interest to me...cool tree though!
Image is interesting but it seems like there is a lot of pixelation going on. Might be a little too much DR for iso 400 on the 40D. Could explain the difficulty downsizing. Did you try processing the raw in 16bit?

Scott, nice shot but maybe a 4 x 5 crop would work even better.

Hey Scott, I like the position of the moon supported by the primary tree. I'm ok with the framing and with a little more punch in the clouds it would be even better. Nice capture.

Thanks everyone for your input! I did downsize these from 16bit raw files in Photoshop CS3, originally I downsized directly from Lightroom but wasn't happy with those results.
When I shot this horizontal I also shot a vertical which may be more in line with some of the crop options mentioned above.

Forgot to add, the vertical shot was downsized directly from Lightroom, no sharpening applied.
