Starlings (not creative - honest!)

This flock of starlings had chosen to spend the well sub-zero winter night around the relative warmth of the neon sign above a well-known supermarket chain. Shot taken in the twilight window before it got too dark, and very shortly before the security guard ejected me.

(observations on colour & brightness welcome - I'm getting perfect results looking at this image on one computer and cr*p results in the other two - all colour-managed)

Indeed not creative.
But a nice "environmental" shot.
I do not know this supermarket but the colours look oke to me.

Well, its a bit creative. Colour and brightness look fine to me and accurate to the Waitrose sign.
How many shots before you caught a bird mid-letter?

Cheers

like this a lot, perhaps would have been better if you'd caught in front of a more immediately recognisable part of the sign though

Looks like a 'Tesco Extra' sign to me..? Although, other than the bird in front of the sign, the others are very over dominated by the sign..

Not sure if its just me, but I can't view the image, no matter what I do. Any chance of posting a link to it on your website?

OK, I'll keep checking back!

It is BT - they've deleted it without warning or explanation after 12 years of hosting it, and I'm no further forward trying to resolve it after 4 hours on the phone, talking to 14 people in India, Glasgow and goodness knows where else, during which I've been bounced from the domestic team to the business team (some of whom were rude and unhelpful) and back again numerous times, been told to phone this number and choose option 3 (and there was only a choice of 2!), several dead-end numbers and more confusion than you'd believe. For a company involved in the communications business their internal comms is cr*p. And I'm no further forward......
