Deeeep!
I apologize for the continuous posts with snow, but that's what it's been doing up here. 5+ feet since Saturday!! There was a point where we got 8 inches in 4 hours. It's so hard to stop and take pictures on days like these, and even harder to tell someone to wait before dropping these lines, but it all works out. Got a couple today, but this one seems to stand out from the rest a little.

If I'm not mistaken, there is some massive tilt here, which takes away from the impact of steepness from the image.

It is turning out to be a great late season.

Do you know any of the instructors at Baker? We should meet up next season for some skiing and shooting.

Oh, and one more thing. I do like the image, I just think it would have been more powerful showing the actual slope.

Not sure how I did that. My test photo from the same spot is straight. I couldnt rotate the image without losing the tiny tree on the left, but i was able to straighten the trees a little. how's this?

Rylan, this image has great potential. Wow, you're getting in some serious skiing. Try the skew tool for straightening; that way you can grab any corner handle and pull out the image til the trees are straight and slope is its natural steepness. Burning the stripes on your friend's coat would help him stand out, too. Nice going.

Rylan,

Sorry, but it still doesn't work for me. Tilted horizons on hand-held images have often frustrated me as well. Like you said, it can be difficult to get set up when your buddies want to blow through the pow.
