CR2 Problem on Adobe Bridge CS4

Hi,

I'm recently usind Photoshop CS4 and Adobe Bridge to select my images, however my CR2 files does not display any image on thumb and preview, I have to run "Adobe DNG Converter" to get some DNG file and can saw the images on Adobe Bridge. How can I correct this problem, as I'm not interested in have the same file twice

Which camera are the CR2 files from?
If it's a fairly new camera, you may need to update to Adobe Camera Raw 5.3
