Howdy All! Well, Spring is officially here this weekend, so naturally, that makes me think ahead to Fall colors!  Last Fall was a good one for me, a great 9 day trip, going to many old spots, but also found a few new gems I'd never seen. This is one of them. This is an awesome fence just off the Silver Jack Reservoir road. Somehow, even though it's easily viewable from the main road, I'd never stopped to shoot it. And I love these kinda fences! Doh!

Anyway, I worked this fence for a couple hours one day, and this is my favorite, from just after sunset. This is cropped slightly vertical from the original, which you can find here. Thoughts on the crop?

Thanks for looking!

Not bad for a guy who doesn't get out much

Excellent Brent. I love how the fence ties the foreground/background together, and it's perfectly composed/cropped.

I think the crop is fine. Although the uncropped version is just as nice IMHO. Well done. :toast:

To be honest, I like the uncropped version MUCH better. Which is to say, it's a 9.95, whereas this crop job is only a 9.

Great job Brent! I love how the fence leads you through the image. I like both images, but am leaning toward
the cropped version. This plays better with the vertical trees, in my humble opinion.

Nice flow and vivid color here - and there's never a bad time for fall fotos!

I also like the uncropped version better, it has more of a flow to it. They are both great, awesome color and comp.

Yep, never a bad time to see fall photos. +1 for the uncropped version.

Sweet image, Brent. I see why you cropped, but I like the uncropped version better too.

Thanks everyone! Really appreciated! Boy, now I can't decide on the crop! Oh well, I like them both!

Loving it Brent! Truthfully, I'd stick with either one and be proud. Both show wonderful depth and great lines leading you throughout. Lets put it this way, we'd all like to have these kinds of dilemmas for cropping rather than because of necessity :toast:
