Talons-Locked and Loaded
I spent a week in Alaska shooting Bald Eagles in and around Homer. This was taken about 6-7 miles from Homer.

Great shot Don. Love the background blues, and the way the whites pop out. Just enough separation of eagle and water. The mid tones seem a bit flat on my monitor ... probably just my monitor. Nice image!

Thats a great action pose, Don! Its too bad the bg is so similar in color, not much you can do about that. Cool shot, regardless.

Really nice shot, Don! This looks like he's about to scoop up lunch. Did you get a sequence?

Way cool Don! I like 'em both but #2 gets a +1.

Great capture! Super sharp on the eye. I like the lift off the best.

Oh yeah. It's nice seeing more of the sequence. How cool.

Don, Both great but Love #2. The spread of the wings, water droplets, the drive and determination showing on the head and of course, the prey. Wow!
