One from today this caught me by surprise,I went to check to see if the ravens have started nesting, the peregrines were giving quite a display it lasted for about 15 minutes.

Nice one Phil. Pin sharp where it matters. The eye is perfect.

Very impressive work, the peregrine looks very sharp. For me personally I'd have liked a little more motion blur of the background, but its still a cracking shot.
Thats a very nice shot. Not seen my local ones displaying yet, although they were copulating about 3 weeks ago. I might be competely wrong, but is this a juvenile?? just looks a bit brown for an adult?
Hi Rob yes I think it is maybe one of last year's young, the female was clearing a couple of ledges off getting ready to nest I think I hope they nest in the same position as they did in 2007 as it was quite low-down and you could get very good views and photos from the watching place.

Phil, if you dint mind me asking (and assuming that is Wharton Crag) how did you get so close ?, did you go beyond the car park boundary ?, I only ask as I was once her and told by a chap that they prefer people not to go beyond the car park so as to not disturb the birds, it seemed a bit odd at the time as a dog walker went by at the time of telling but I stuck to the chaps request as it kind of made sense ?
Hi Steve I just go up to the mound before the fence like the dog walkers.

Nice capture Phil, although I find it a little flat, needs a little more contrast perhaps to make it 'pop' .. But doesn't detract from what is essentially a really pleasing image.
