I haven't been able to get out much with the camera recently so I thought I'd post an image from when I was last out in Kenya. (I usually save my Kenya images for the fauna gallery, so I hope this is OK... )
This black backed jackal image is one of my personal favourites, but I realise it definitely isnt everyones cup of tea! Some have said the diagonal streaking isn't ideal (and the image would be improved with the streaks going in the direction of the movement) but funnily enough that is what I like most about this image - the 2d effect of the diagonal streaking. I would love to hear your thoughts on motion blur images in general and of course on this one in particular!
techs: 1/25s, f16, iso 250. Contrast adjustment and a distracting brown branch cloned out of the bg.
Comments welcome!

I find it a bit weird Billy but realise that its an acquired taste. Perhaps for me the thing that does detract is the two main hot spots(Lower ear and chest) but I can see where you are coming from. Its certainly different.

It isn't my cup of tea either, but if it works for you, that's what counts. No reason you should not post Kenyan stuff on here, I have posted stuff from a number of countries and many others have done the same.

Just doesn't quite work for me either I'm afraid Billy, although I do enjoy watching jackals. Like the fact its licking its lips though. No objections to images taken elsewhere being posted on here - I see it more for images taken by UK/European photographers than images taken in the UK/Europe
Not sure this quite works as a motion blur image - as the blur appears to be perpendicular to the direction of movement of the animal it looks more like camera shake. Reminds me of the 'coloured pencil' filter in photoshop.
