This is my first post. I just joined the group and thought I would try posting a picture.

Welcome to the forum. Great shot like the detail around the eye, I find getting a good shot with the eye not lost in the mask is difficult.

Nice shot. One of the best eyes I've seen on a cardinal.

Welcome and congrats on the great Cardinal capture. The eye is sharp and interesting, the BG, well...I wish I could say more, and I would if I were sure that would be okay with you.

Good, another example of a new member who wants c & c, but may not be getting well deserved input due to the confusing forum guidelines. My comment is not much of a nit at all, more of a question about the shooting conditions when you found this gorgeous cardinal. The large branch in the background is probably less than ideal, and I'm wondering if you were thinking about the background when shooting, and if you were in a position to move around a bit to get a cleaner background?

I'll agree Brian! I have a setup in the backyard with some of these vines placed around my bird feeder. I might have to find a differnet way to put them as I don't have much wig room when it comes to shooting them. Meaning the way the light is when I like to shoot and my blind placement. Probably the easiest thing for me to do is reposition the vines that way when the birds do land on them it will make for a cleaner BG. Thanks for the tip and I'm always looking for the nits if thats what you call them as that is what drives me to take better pictures :)
