Hope the majesty of this male bird shows in the image.
These White-tails gave us more images than Golden Eagles whilst we were in Norway; the female GE being a VERY aggressive and domineering bird and the only male being very 'flighty' (perhaps fearing being torn limb from limb by the big female - I know I would be lol!).
The White-tails just seem a lot more laid-back, sociable and tolerant of each others company - watching the interactions between male and female and the pairs routine has made them my favourites I think.
One thing is very apparent - she's the boss and he's the hen-pecked husband
Really lovely image - the uplighting effect is sublime - there's an almost theatrical effect. Detail in the plumage is fantastic. Small personal 'want' - is there enough image below the bottom snow blob so we can see the whole blob? I feel that would give a really strong relationship with the other lumps which would 'feel' more comfortable for me. But thats a insignificant observation on a truly lovely image. Well done!
Ahhh edit - just read the techy notes = full-frame - so forget that comment above! :-)
Great comp & a pretty spectacular shot, nicely done !

Had a look at these on your site earlier - stunning images, really made for me by the uplighting effect and how it brings out the details. Now, when was that Norway workshop again ...

Awesome work Andy.. Really enjoying all your efforts from Norway. Thanks for sharing some truly superb images.
Hi Andy a very nice image, now something you will not hear me say very often but I think it could do with more space showing more of the environment it is in.
