Red Crested Pochard
hello

Popped out after work to get the last of the evenings sunshine and lo and behold there were a pair of Red Crested Pochard on my local nature reserve, the first time I believe they have ever visited, so I was happy

techs

D3, 300-800 at 800mm (also ran in DX crop mode to get more reach, fewer pixels, but reasonable subject size)

cheers for looking

I like the colours of this one Colin, the all work nicely together. Is it my eyes of is the horizon slightly down on the left? apart from that, it's a pleasant image, well done !

Nice work Colin with good detail and lighting. I think I would have liked a little off the top but some added to the bottom to give just a bit more space for the reflection. Otherwise nice work.

Nice shot. I would crop a little from the top of the image so it poits the attention more to the duck.

Very nice Colin, the eye and bill really stand out. A bit off the top looks good to me too
