Geese at Sunrise
1D2n, 600mm f4 is, 1/60s, f9, iso 100. Clone out a telegraph wire and several dust spots/insects and a couple of birds halved by the borders.

As the sun rose, it gradually eased through the morning mist and the roosting geese took off. I have rarely if ever seen such a clear sun in the UK. Critique and suggestions always much appreciated.

Lot of views, no comments.....I like this - the V format works very well and the inclusion of the foreground details however indistinct gives a really solid anchor to the image. Too often these shots are taken with the sun floating as if in a vacuum - nothing around it, when the reality is you only see the sun like this when it's near the horizon, so for me including that chunk of real estate is just fine. Wee bit of blur in the geese does not bother me at all - gives a nice sense of movement and life to the shot. Fine shot - worth the early rise. Excellent capture.

I like this too, the sun is amazing, beautiful colours. Loads of atmosphere. The only thing I not sure of is the movement in the geese. It may be a stronger image with some more sharpness to the geese, but then that may spoil the atmosphere and artistic quality that this has...

A lovely capture.

I like it too. Very nicely exposed and a very good comp.

Well done.
