Inspired by Louis Marie Preau, I dreamt up an image of a heron hunting with boats as the background. Today I went down to my local Harbour, Chichester and got lucky. I am really happy with the image but would interested to hear what you think. Loads more on Blog, http://sussexbirdphotography.blogspot.com/

Very nice, good composition. I wonder if the bird might stand out a little more if you were a little closer? The combination of egret and boats in the background somehow makes this feel like a really exotic shot! Really nice painterly feel.
The shots on your blog are nice too. I particularly like the second and third one down as the bird stands out a bit more and the shore line leads your eye nicely to the bird.
Nice concept to show the relationship with man. I agree it would be stonger with more emphasis on the bird. Perhaps a lower angle might help in this case. I would crop the top of the masts off to the level of the roof of the building on the left.
