I had a plan for a sunrise shot that changed with thick clouds on the horizon, so I decided to try more intimate landscapes from my cliff edge. The light wasn't bad, I was just very limited from my perch.
I'm interested in your feedback - this is a side view of the Coke Ovens. I hung my head and camera over the edge, which was a little freaky. I'm always amazed at the enormity of CNM!
This is a very nice series Dave, that first one almost feels like you're flying over the canyon rim!. I like the light in the 2nd one, and the Petroglyphs are interesting to look at and study in your image. I need to add CNM to my list of places to visit!.

Nice, Dave! I like the feeling of height in the first, but the second is an overall more pleasing image.
Dave, #2 is ok, but really none of these seem to have the normal Dave look that I am accustomed too. Just my 2 cents.

I really like the way you're getting stuff from CNM that's different. Really nice stuff, esp. the first two.
As for wilderness designation, I took a leap and captioned it as wilderness in the new calendars, hoping the legislation would finally pass before the calendars actually came out. Phew!

Dave, very unique compositions of the place. Having been there, I can say these are the product of your unique vision...regards, Rajeev.
Thanks folks - I appreciate the feedback. I agree, Jody - nothing with a WOW! factor here, just trying to work with the light I had on some different approaches. I take a sort of story-telling approach and the next visit will be a new chapter.
