The date we have lined up is Saturday, April 25th, at New Space Center for Photography, http://www.newspacephoto.org/contact/, which is located in inner SE Portland. In case there are any new comers, this is with Mark Fitzgerald (http://ddroom.com/).
A $5 donation is suggested to New Space for hosting the event.
Please let me know if you can make it. We need 10 people to commit to make this happen.
Just so everyone is aware, it is not necessary to bring laptops or software as it is a presentation rather than a hands on workshop.
Added 3/23/09: Mark is also available on Saturday April 11th. We won't be able to get New Space for that, but let me know if that works better and I'll work on acquiring a location.

I've signed up for a Lightroom demonstration on April 11th in Seattle. I'm hoping that Lightroom will be sufficient for the kind of post processing I'd like to do to my images.
I plan on being in Portland on the 25th anyways to see a music concert that night. Plan on checking out Punch Bowl too that weekend.

I can work with the first date - I'm shooting a wedding on the 11th, so that date won't work for me. The location is fine..

I want to attend, but I just can't commit to either of those dates at this point.
that said, my advise, FWIW, if you have a place nailed down, go with the 25th provided you can get the required commitment. Then use the alternate date only if you dont' get sufficient commitment for the 25th.
