I am trying to post a picture for your reviews and when I get down to the bottom, it says you have to be a member to upload a pix, but when I look at the picture posting guidelines, it says anyone can post pix, and that membership is not required. What am I doing wrong? I have the pix saved on my desktop and want to upload it for your thoughts and critiques. Help!

From 'How to Post a Photo':
"NPN members may use our image hosting service and upload photos direct from their computer's hard drive."
Non-members have to link their images from a photo hosting site that allows direct linking (PBase, Flickr, your own website, etc.) as noted in 'How to Post a Photo':
"To link to a photo on another website (such as a personal website or hosting service), enter the URL of the photo (not the page) in the "Enter URL address of .jpg photo" field on the Post a Photo screen."

I'd suggest going the membership route (hint , hint , hint ). I seriously doubt that Jim is getting rich off of runnning this site and at least for me, is money well spent. You don't need to do so, though, to get the majority of the benefits offered.
I'll echo Dan. One person's paid membership benefits the entire NPN community, thus allowing all of us to reap the numerous benefits of this great place!
Having the ability to upload images saves you money and bandwidth if you have your own site, and time. Also, you can create a portfolio over at photoportfolios.net as part of your NPN membership.
