What a Mess

What a Mess
Also spent a couple of days photographing a wild Goshawk pair last week - this is the female who always came half an hour or so after the male and ate considerably more than him. You can see why they call this a plucking post now, and watching the skill with which they prise all the elements they want to eat (carefully discarding the intestines for instance) was an amazing experience to photograph.

The light sprinkling of snow was a bonus.

Excellent in every way. The raindrop on the beak emphasises the miserable conditions.

Good stuff indeed.
Was this at a baited site ? I have a territory I want to try it at.
