I have a location question. I'll be spending several days near Raleigh, NC, this weekend, with some time to shoot.
Does anyone have suggestions of places to check out for photography? I'm mostly interested in nature or rustic locations, but am open to pretty much anything.
Thank you for any pointers you may be able to offer.

What part of the area will you be visiting. There are many places around Raleigh. Durham and Chapel Hill also have locations. There is plenty of hiking (Umstead State Park (Raleigh), White Pines Natural Area (Pittsboro), Hemlock Bluffs & Swift Creek Bluffs(Cary), poking around the lakes (Jordan and Falls), gardens (NCBG-Chapel Hill; Duke Gardens in Durham; the JC Raulston Arboretum in Raleigh) and several small natural areas.

The redbuds are in full bloom in many areas around Raleigh, and the dogwoods are just starting to open.
