D3 + 600mm AFS II + 1.4 conv.
1/500@ f8.
ISO: 400.
Ex Comp -0.7EV.
WB: Auto.

Every time I venture out I always visit this Little Owl site at present.
When I approach I usually view down the lane and I can see him sat out most times. As I get nearer he always shoots back down the hole and its a case of waiting. This day was no exception, 3/4 Hour to be precise. He then sits and stares, his main concern being the jackdaws who are also resident.

I love this shot Major. The eyes are enough to make it stand out from a complex BG while still showing how effective their colouration is as camo. Excellent comp too.
