Hi Craig, nice capture of the Wagtail. On my screen it looks a little bit blue. :toast:

Mark you where with me and can you remember there was a mini-weir/waterfall to the right of the picture, giving the inpression it's slopping but the bird/land is level, and john it maybe because there's alot of grey in the bird:confused:  thanks for the comments gents

Nice one.... it does give the impression of a slight slant but that is probably down to the angle you were to the bank.. great PoV and there's not too much wrong with the bg... I am picking up that hint of blue that John mentions, mainly in the grey and the (white?) flank on the bird. apart from that minor nit it is a very nice image of this species in typical habitat...

Nice pic. Nits already mentioned.
Definately needs a bit of rotating and "de blueing "
Not easy birds to do either..

Beautiful shot, I agree with the nits covered so far. The composition is great!

Nice work, but have to agree with nits. Even if the flow is as you describe it's how it is viewed by those who don't know the setting that see it as 'uphill'. However, what really counts is whether or not you are happy with it. If that's the case you've bagged yourself a really nice image and thanks for sharing with us.

I can see the blue cast too, but really like the shot. Nice setting!

Hello Craig.

Nice image and a good composition and setting.

For me Im not sure about the blue cast, I just get the feel you have increased the saturation and this as made the greys look blue. Could be wrong though.
I dont mind the slope on the water as the right of the water line is sharp and the left is soft. So this just says to me that the left side of the bank was coming towards you, and this would give the effect of the slope.

Lovely shot, the colours are amazing!

Mm, unfortunately you have now introduced a red cast on my monitor, the under tail yellow is now orange tinged/crocus yellow instead of lemon yellow.

I think the issue with the original image was your colour saturation was just way too high, just try calming down the saturation and the blue cast referred to should be reduced

Repost looks better to me Craig :wavey:

Only nit for me is that you appear to have added some more sharpening on the repost - it looks a tad over-sharp.

Thanks for all your kind comments, i agree with them all, so i've made it as level as i can, and toned down the grey/blue   Thanks for looking

Excellent capture. the first looked over-saturated to me as well and the second better as Andy says, but I wonder if you modified the web jpeg rather than the original? I think it is better to go back at least to the tiff or better still the raw file and re-work that as you will lose quality every time you re-save a jpeg.
As I said the shot itself is very nice, though.
