A Study in Light
I posted this in flora, but not many of us landscape guys get over there, so I thought I would repost here.

I decided to play with some bought flowers over the weekend. I wanted to test an older lens I bought recently and test some film and plus have some fun. I set up in my kitchen and played around. I had a great time and am really happy with how it turned out. I have 7 more sheets of film from the same bunch, but different stems I have not seen yet.

I am not certain, but I believe the flower is Freesia. If anyone knows for sure, please let me know.

You already know I like this one a lot. I was curious if you shot any Delta 100 alongside the FP4+? Just wondering how the grain compares.

Jason,

I did not shoot any Delta 100. I have not done any side by side comparison. Delta is supposed to be very tight grained, very similar to Acros. FP4+ is supposed to show more grain and not look quite as sharp, although I would guess at normal print sizes you would be happy with either.

So far the Delta 100 I have burned has been extremely tight grained...like one big grain

Oh man, your killing me here, Harley. This is gorgeous. I have to really admire the B&W shots I've seen here at NPN. I have never worked in that arena and really find the stuff in most cases really wonderful. This image is no exception to those previously observed images here, and I find the DOF and detail perfect on this one.

Harley,

This is a very elegant photo. I really like it.

Harley,

You know I like this one too. The effect of the soft focus lens and narrow depth of field works perfectly. I also like how the OOF flowers on the back side look as if the front flowers were placed in front of a mirror. Excellent work Harley.

Beautiful, Harley, the narrow dof makes this a "classic" for me, well done.
