So i was getting shots of the thousands of swans along the river in monticello when i decide to try to use the HD video option on my Nikon D90. Tell me what you guys think of it, its not amazing quality but its a fun thing to use.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ukFlx5R8Afw

Is it a fixed lens or can you zoom also? Lazy and haven't researched, looks like fun though!

Joe
This looks like a great place to photograph swans. What is the best time of year and where is the best location?

Thanks

Thanks, Joe! I also looked at some of the other swan videos that were taken at the same place. Must have been quite a treat to see so many Trumpeters in the same place at once!

That's a pretty impressive performance there! Reminds me of when I used to live in NM and visited Bosque del Apache. Anyways, thanks for sharing this!

http://www.discovermonticello.com/swanpark.html that site gives info on where to go and the best time, its really an observation deck, but the swans walk up within 6ft of you. In the winter the swans gather on the shores of the river because of the neucler power plant which adds warm water to it so it stays unfrozen the whole winter.
