Well I sold my old 10 stop to my buddy when I upgraded to the 16-35II. So now nothing screw on is made near 10 stops and 82mm that I can find. I'm not opposed to stacking 2 singh ray 4x6 but dang that's expensive. My screw on was $108 and pretty neutral. Any other alternatives? Hitechs are a bit too magenta for me.

Have you considered one of those vari-ND's? I've been looking at them, but never plopped down the cash. Expensive, but they would serve a wide range of needs, it would seem?

The Singh-Ray Vari-ND is $300+ (I got a used one on ebay for $280) is incredible, and gives you up to 8 stops. I now consider it an indispensible piece of gear. (I still carry a 4 stop just in case, but haven't needed it yet)

Thanks guys, forgot it came in an 82mm. Any other brand got some 4x6 4 stops that when stacked wouldn't have a horrible cast? I feel like this is newbie stuff, but I found one that worked and never thought about it again.

In my experience, there is no magenta cast on Hitech (or any other ND filter)...at least we cant see one. When we shot with you on Bahia Honda, we came out with clean 70+ second images without cast.

Even if there was a cast, we can easily cancel it out by minor color correction. Just my 2c...

The Singh-Ray Vari-ND and VAri-Duo will vignette with a 16-35mm on a full-frame camera. Darwin
