A Sand Dunes offering on a snowy day
My grandchildren - off from school for snow - have given me a bit of a break so I will post another Sand Dunes N.P image from last week. I like the shape of this one and the contrast. I left some detail in the shadow area. Mistake? Comments please.

They're both lovely compositions Rod.

Really nice comps, I do wish there was maybe a touch more room at the top on #1, but I think it would be fine as is in a larger version or print. I really like the shadow detail in it, too. Very intriguing. It might have been cool just to explore the light in the shadowed areas. A little uneveness in the sky tone in #2, but this is sweet, too. Nice work, Rod!

I think #1 is really cool. I like the patterns of the shaded side. My eye tends to get lost in sand in #2. I'm looking for some nice even flow in the ridges and can't quite get it.

Morris wishes there was a little more room at the top of #1, but I think it might be nice to crop that little sliver off the top. I think that horizontal line takes away from the beautiful curve. However, I think if you took that bit off the top, you might lose a little too much of the top of the curve, too.

I love both of them! With the great colors and contrast #2 really pops and makes me think of the Sahara Desert, not southern Colorado.

I like them both, but I'm drawn to #1 a little more. Great images! I'll bet it looks a little different today...
