Tree reflection in peaty water (sorry - creative mode again)

This tree was reflected in an inky black peaty lochan in the Cairngorms and the little bit of ripple in the water gave it this rather abstract (I thought) effect. A bit awkward to get to as there were overhanging branches that would have (I felt) added a sense of 'reality' to it so it was a teetery brink-of-the-pond one-legged affair to try to avoid them.

EOS1DsMk2, 35-350 Canon zoom at 150mm, ISO 320, 1/11th at f8, tripod and wellies and slowly sinking

Exceptionally well seen and taken. For me tho’ it is more of a pictorial shot than a N.H. one.

Hello John.

Really like this well seen and captured. The mono feel really suits this and would make a nice print.

very nice image, well suited to black and white, does feel a little weighted towards the top though

Spot on for me John, well seen and produced - my favourite of your abstract shots to date.

Cheers,
Chris

I echo Chris' comments and I'm not fussed how you categorise it!

Very very nice John your mind is a wonderful thing, I think 95% of us would not even come close to coming up with something like this.
