To continue Dave's post of photos of the snow-covered Flatirons, HERE are a whole bunch of shots from Chautauqua Park on Friday morning. I decided to play hooky from work and do my first shooting since sometime last summer.

All shots Nikon D300 and Nikon 18-200. Processed in Lightroom, panos stitched in Panorama Maker 4. I created the slideshow in LR, but didn't see an option for sharpening when exporting the slideshow, so none of the images are sharpened. This was just a first pass through the images. I need to spend some more time sorting and tweaking everything. Although some of the shots looks like black-and-white, currently everything is in color, except for one sepia-toned image.

A great morning, and it was good to get out again. I was the third car in the parking lot at about 6:45AM. A few people showed up by 7AM. By 9AM, the place was swarming with photographers.

Very nice collection of shots, Brent. It's good to have a mental health day once in awhile. :jump: I like the varied comps, and I am not sure I could pick out a favorite on the first time through. Too many good ones.

Great images! You captured the essence of the Flatirons very well!

Been there many times and tried to capture images of the flatirons at the quality you have shown. Your images have a wonderful use of 3rds in the composition. Felt like I have seen the location anew. Very well done.

That is a very nice series of Flatiron shots Brent, great mood to all the shots with the snow. Hard to pick one favourite!.

That's some really nice stuff, Brent! I esp. like the panos. The first horizontal image with the grasses poking through the snow is sweet, too.

Great stuff, love seeing the Flatirons like this. I also like the panos, sweet. The vertical shot is also very good.

Very nice stuff, Brent. I wish I could have played hooky. Your day was certainly productive.

The panos were definitely my favorite, a comp I haven't seen before. I also liked the later ones after the sun and blue sky arrived.

Nice series Brent. I especially like the panos when the clouds are lifting and the last image with the fence. I also like the earlier ones with the grasses too.

I really like the second one. I've forgotten just how beautiful that scene is.

The pano ones are nice, but #7 and #8 stood out to me. The atmospheric reduction of the color to almost monochrome is very nice in those ones.

Thanks for taking a look! I've spent a lot of time shooting the Flatirons, but have never been able to get any snow shots I was happy with, until now. Hoping I can make some time to do more shooting soon.
