I was thinking of upgrading from 5d to either a 5d mkll or a used 1ds mklll. Does anyone know if the bg-e4 grip from the 5d would fit the 5d mkll? If that fits, I would hope that the RRS L bracket I just bought would fit also. I almost bought a used 1ds mklll with the 24-70L for the unbelievable price of $4899. I was hesitant to pull the trigger though because the person had no feedback and his item description sounded like a teenager wrote it. Now I'll do my Seinfeld-"not that there's anything wrong with that", but I remember how I talked when I was that young.Paypal supposedly covered the whole purchase price. Anyway, someone else scooped it up. Thanks for any responses.

Hi Michael,
The 5D grip does not fit. I had also an 5D and upgraded to the MKII and i had do sell all the set, 5D and grip. Canon made all new This new grip its expensive compare to the old 5D
