This meadow pipit is from my first session with my new toy - a second-hand Nikon AF-S 600mm f4, that after a very long wait arrived from the USA on Friday.
I realise that a bit more cloning would improve the shot, but for a first result I was very pleased with it. Like most new lenses it requires a learning curve, the start of which is that my heaviest tripod can just about cope with the weight. Not so sure about my biceps though!
Apart from what you have said about the cloning, this is a great shot, I really quite like it to be honest. I'm not being nice just to get on the good side of someone with a lens I'd love to try my hand with you know, promise!

Love the shot David. The light on the bird and the dark background does the image proud.
Looks like that lens was well worth the expense and wait. Goodluck with the weightlifting

Don't clone it Dave the Blurry bits give it a realism, Just a personal view though.
Looks good as is for me too, only wish is for slightly more of a head turn......
Good luck with the new monster...
