Stevington mill dusk

This newly restored postmill has overlooked Stevington Village, Bedfordshire, for two centuries, it has been without sails for several years.
I am currently very busy with several commissioned jobs, one is shooting a large number of feeder products set up in several locations, one being not far from this mill, so I have passed by it a few evenings now.
The most spectacular sunset was last Thursday, but frustratingly there was a minibus and landrover parked in front of the mill "sods law", as the best of the sky faded the vehicles where moved.
This shot was taken on Friday during a hailstorm.

I don't normally comment on landscapes, but this is superb, moody work.

Oh... Very very nice, But I would be tempted to crop it into 3:1 from the bottom...
I really like this - do you have one with the top right hand sail more illuminated?

The gap in the cloud closed up as it moved across, Tom (see this pic) and it was not possible to change position as there is a line of trees that obscures the mill when one moves further right.
I kept 93 shots out of quite alot taken over about 80minutes, there's several more on my Flickr gallery

Very nice, amazing light coming through the clouds. Think Toms crop suggestion would work well too.
