Roe Deer at dawn
I'm fortunate to have a good population of roe deer local to home but have not really made the most of the opportunity. This one was a grab shot taken from the vehicle early morning shooting into the light.

Canon 1D MkII with 500mm lens.

Amazing light! Backlighting suits it well, look forward to more.

A lovely atmospheric shot and I love the colour. Possibly a bit of anticlockwise rotation to get the fenceposts vertical?

Hi Mark, like the idea behind this shot but the lens flare in front of the deer is just a little bit to much for my liking and I have to agree about the horizon, fence and bushes are going downhill..

Mark is the overhaul colouration a result of the natural light or have you created a sepia type image in processing? I personally like to see strong colours in an image but that is purely me. I can see how this appeals and reflects heavily on the time of day taken and the given light. An excellent grab shot :toast:

Hi Major, The colour is natural or at east a result of shooting into the light with some lens flare contributing to the colour.

I think it's a wonderful shot. The light and colour are perfect IMO. The tilted horizon and posts don't bother me either - it's nice not to always have everything at right angles

Cheers

It is as you described, a grab shot, as such it is a wonderful shot, I really like it. It doesn't bother me that things aren't square either.

Well done

Tis nice.... I'm not at all sure if it does need rotation, I have a feeling the deer would not look right....

Great colour only minor niggle is that I would perhaps like a tad more room below, but that really is minor and probably more personal taste....

I really like it. I think the tilted angle works just fine and I like the calm (hmmm, can't think of a better word) atmosphere delivered by shooting into the light.

I really like this shot. Very atmospheric and the tilted horizon doesn't bother me at all.

Not to keen on this one Mark. :toast:

It seems that the image needs to be split, leave the bottom half and then twizzle the top a little anticlockwise?

Nice image, colours and setting are great !
