Barred Owl In Flight
Got out after work tonight and was lucky to come across a male and female owl. This is one of many shots I got but thought I would share one :)

Great find and capture, Mike. How do you go about finding your BOP subjects? When I find Owls, it is usually the result of someone with a scope pointed at a well camouflaged, unmoving subject half asleep in a hole in a tree off in the distance!

Beautiful capture, Mike. I've heard these guys calling in the CVNP, but haven't seen one out in the open yet. Have you found their nest?

No chuck haven't found the nest but I don't think I'm too far away to tell you the truth! Brian as far as finding my subjects it's just alot of driving and to tell you I found another Great Horned Owl nest on the way home and about 3 miles from the house. She was sitting on her nest. Lots of tree branches in the way gonna have to work on getting some pictures.

I love listening to the Barred Owls, but haven't seen one in some time now. Nice catch, Michael.

Great work! Nice job retaining detail in the shaded bottom part of the wing.
