March blizzard pano
Here is one from my quick foray into the blizzard on Friday. I had to crop the top half off because of 2 snowflakes on the lens. Is there an effective way to fix the distortion caused by a snowflake? In this case, the snowflakes caused a lightness in the affected area, with a very slight yellow tinge. A larger version can be seen at http://gallery.heartland-images.com/album01/0327snow4b

Nice shot Rob, But I liked the one on ES&S more. That one was amazing.

What a storm. I was wondering what conditions are by now around Great Bend. I would have loved to have made it out to Barber or Clark counties Sunday but when the authorities say necessary travel only, I decided my travel wouldn't have been too necessary.

This is nice and the larger version gives a better account of the storms details but I'm with Ken, the image on ES&S is special. Most important of all, you got out and documented the storm with some very nice images. Thanks for sharing.

Great stuff, but I also liked the one you posted to ESS better. Glad you managed to get out for a few shots despite the nasty conditions. Hope it melts quickly!

Like everyone else has said ESS image. One of your best. Be happy with it.

Thanks everybody. Ken, I was tempted to head to Monument Rocks on Saturday afternoon, but I've since learned that there wasn't much snow in that part of the state. Quivira NWR was my second choice, but worried about mud, I didn't go and found out that afternoon that the whole area was closed due to deep snow.

Scott, the ESS image is at http://www.naturephotographers.net/imagecritique/ic.cgi?a=vp&pr=118401&CGISESSID=500f7889420c95cc82615fd5acc58c32&u=3777

Nice shot Rob...but that ESS shot is outstanding (it took me a long time to figure out what ESS was!! but it was worth hunting it down to see that shot).

Wow! The larger image is great. I like both this one and the critique forum image. Not overdone and very realistic.

Makes me shiver. :wavey:
