One more from my flower shoot a week ago. It is not exactly most landscapers cup of tea, but I had a great time and was extremely happy with the results.

Beautiful, Harley! This is motivating me to do some B&W.
Very nice. If I had a nit, it would be that the two flowers on the left are more in focus the two on the right.

Harley,
Another excellent floral still-life. I liked the previous version better, but this is still excellent in it's own right. One subtle thing that I notice here is the darkness/fall-off of the stem at the bottom of the frame. Was this from some processing, or just natural fall-off of the light. Regardless, I think that little element really makes for an overall impact to the presentation.
If I had a nit it would be along the lines of Jason's comments, but it's not a big deal.
What was the lighting here? Just window lighting? Any reflectors for fill? Just curious, but I think the lighting setup for both images is right on.
I'd say head over to the grocery store and pick up some bell peppers or something...

Great work Harley.

I have to agree with Jason on the focus. Maybe add a littel gaussian blur to the buds on the left to balance it.
Very well executed. The black BG makes for a very compelling image. Best Regards.
