OK, it's not exactly what most of us would think of as "shooting".
I went out to Chase County Lake Sat. evening after the storm to check out the conditions. Some of the locals were sliding down the ice covered grassy hillsides in their kayaks. This guy was the best, he could go all the way down the hill, across the road and parking area and into the water.
There was a lot of water going over the falls now, especially compared to Feb. It should be a great Spring now with all the moisture we have received.

But this is what I really went for.

Hey Ken, I like to paddle a boat, but this guy is taking it to the extreme! You second photo is really nice. I really like the way the tones in the sky go with the earth. Great composition, I can see this as a nice gallery print.

I don't know Ken, I'm thinking a Department of Commerce ad with the tag line "paddling Kansas!" What do you think?
A really nice gallery of images. I was hoping that you had some of the falls in full glory and you didn't disappoint. You have some nice images for your efforts, thanks for sharing them!

Kayaking the Flint Hills, now I've seen it all :)
nice gallery of images, that is a lot of water running over the falls
we didn't get the ice, just a foot or more of snow.....
I agree with Rob. Now I've seen it all!! A very unusual find to say the least.
Your other shots are great. I especially like 747 & 805. It's nice to see some water in the falls. I hope to make it back down there again sometime soon.
We didn't have photogenic conditions here in Topeka. Got a little sleet with a tiny, tiny dusting of snow on top.
