This photo was taken today at 'Bempton Cliff's', this place has almost 200,000 birds living on its white cliffs between the months of april-august, Gannets,Guillemots,Razorbills,Puffins and more are arriving daily, this morning i got there at 4.30am, got myself into place just before dawn, the background i could do nothing with as this is one of the cliff's that make up this coast line, these birds are really beautiful, with there clown-like eye, flamboyantly coloured bill,a great day! .Thanks For Looking

My god man "I'd climbed down onto a ledge" with a 600mm VR! Now that's irresponsible, there's not many 600mm VR's about. Anyway, lovely shot of the beautiful birdies, great colour.

Lovely shot Craig, being the same height as them has really helped and added to the image.

Great shot well worth the effort. How do you manage to get them looking in the same direction?

Great shot! Excellent details and composition, the orange legs, and their bills really stand out too! Well worth your effort!

There's a fantastic clarity to this shot, top stuff
Great shot !! Pleased you said you were a qualified climber, because when I was at Bempton last summer there was no way I was going anywhere near the other side of the fence !!!!
Thanks for sharing

Fabulous shot - I've never yet seen the puffins there - but I shudder at the thought of getting near the edge of those cliffs. When I was there in Feb, there was someone fishing right on the edge - I nearly passed out just looking at him.
Very nice indeed.... No worries of me trying that, I suffer vertigo.....
Well worth the effort you have put in to obtain the image, do the authorities question your motives at any time whilst doing this? (plus I think it explains the Paratroopers bit in your sig line )
Thanks for nice comments, Phil; the place i got down too is a bit of a walk away from the viewing platforms at bempton and is accessable to the public, and beneath me was a big grass legde, and at 'NO' stage was my safety at risk,in turn risking anyone else's. I got into place as the sun was coming up, camouflaged to disguise myself and the welfare of any wildlife i photography is more important to me than any picture i get, so i hope i've cleared that up 'alittle' for you,and you are spot on with why my cap-badge is displayed, many thanks
Nice work Craig, real sense of environment and is exactly what you would expect from these birds. The cliff looks a little unpredictable but I have been in the same situation over the years and it just makes for great wildlife encounters..
