Is there any technical or other reason preventing us from having the option to post a larger image in addition to the standard one? This was introduced on the main site (1200pix and <400kb) and I think it makes a huge difference, both in terms of enjoying the image and in making a critique. Maybe my eyesight isn't as good as it used to be!
The other sites I post on use 800 on the longest side as standard....1200 would be too big for most laptops without having to scroll across I guess Ian.
Yes, there's a techie reason - at the moment the UKNP forum code simply doesn't have this feature available. It's something we are looking into changing in the future.

The bigger images are in addition to, rather than in place of, the normal 720p pixel ones. The images aren't displayed at that resolution by default - you have to click on another link to see them.
