To be honest, I don't know the names of these. All I know is that the trees were covered with them the last time I went to the park  I'm interested in hearing some C+C on this. It works for me, but I don't know if it's too busy for others. I have some very different shots of these flowers that I'll try and post after I get some feedback on this one. As I said, C+C welcome!

Nathaniel, to be honest this is not working for me personally, but you can take my comment as far as you could probably throw me - not too far. I think this image could be alot better if you simplified it and tried to shoot the smaller branches against a blank sky. Those large trunks in the background are competing too much :wavey:

Nathaniel, I have to agree with Mitch....the image is quite busy with the out of focus branches in the background. As was suggested, the smaller branches against the dark tree trunk would set the flowers off nicely, or as an alternative....against a solid blue sky. Sorry to say, I can't help with ID on these.

I agree with the previous remarks; there's an awful lot competing with the blooms for the viewer's attention.

If these were bushes, I'd guess forsythia. But you said trees, so I'd have to guess sassafras. Not sure where you're located, but we have sassafras in abundance here in NE Ohio.

Thanks to everyone for the honest feedback. It's nice to know where my tastes lie in relation to everyone else. I personally like exploring the OOF flowers in relation to the main subject, but I can definitely see where it can be seen as busy!

Chuck,

They might actually be forsythia. The only reason I wrote "tree" is because they were slightly over my head. My botany professor would be ashamed
