Rock Abstract
This is a close up of a rock and the creek bed from the same location as my last post. In fact it is the rock that is right in the middle of the creek before it spills over the lower fall.

I was amazed with the myriad of colors to be found in the rocks there and wish I had spent more time exploring them, especially after the sun got too high to shoot the falls.

Let me know what you think.

Hi Bryan, this is a neat abstract with the protruding rock and water moving over the submerged rock surface. I like the combination of sharp vs.oof elements and the bright vs. subdued tones. Nicely seen and done.

Very interesting colors and textures. I like the way the water picks up some of them as it flows by. Nice image.

Thanks all for the comments.

Scott, I see what you mean about the sharpening. I checked the original and it is quite a bit sharper, so it must have to do with the jpeg compression. Of course the colors are more vibrant as well, but I expected that because of the conversion to sRGB.

I'm still trying to get the hang of file size, compression amount, etc. to maintain as much quality as possible and still stay within file size restrictions.
