Fresh Green w/B&W repost
Starting to see a little green in the Ozarks. Taken at Long Pool CG.

Water flow was pretty tepid and the larger fall was disappointing but today's rain should help that.

I almost stopped by here on my way back from Graves Creek this afternoon, but the rain moved in.

Colors are not popping yet. Still, it is a nice image of water and rocks.

Ed, I would have thought there would have been more water up there. Nice shot. Were the redbuds blooming?

I'm a little surprised too at the weak water flow here. Still a beautiful composition and so nice to start seeing some green again!

Redbuds were blooming and surprisingly the dogwoods were almost in full bloom. Trees up by the taller falls below the bluff were leafed out already, above the bluff line still nothing. Some wildflowers but still very early.

I like this composition a lot! The three main falls are well placed. I would like to see this in a B&W too.

B&W version didn't to do much for me but here is a stab at one. Thanks for the comments.

That's a rock strewn stream. Good idea on the b/w but for me I think the color version works better here. I'm usually one for understatement but in this case a little saturation boost might be just the ticket. Have a great weekend!

I agree with Wayne a little saturation boost would probably help. I think the color version is much better as well.

I was in this area from April 11-13 last year and to me it seems like it is a bit ahead of schedule this year compared to last year. I went up yesterday and was very surprised at the dogwoods and red buds. It doesn't look all that different from Conway.

I love the composition of this shot and the placement of the waterfall at the lower right corner. I think both the color and BW versions are great, I would maybe darken the rocks on the lower left corner on the BW version and see how that looked.

This is a wall hanger for sure!
