Blue Tit Bathing
Had a pleasant hour in the pool hide today. Not much variety but spent some time with the blue tits. The nice light helped with exposure.
I must make the most of it again before the leaves open. It's amazing how the whole bird is in motion but the head is relatively still (like a Robin on a windy branch.) Suppose its some sort of defence mechanism. Great if you can grab it at the right time though.
D200 Sigma 100-300mm
640 ISO
F8 180th second.
Cropped and resize/ sharpen 1 pass in paint shop pro.
Cheers

Lovely action capture John - as you say, 'grabbed' just at the right time :wavey:

You have caught the water very nicely here. It looks as though he was enjoying his ablutions.

Hello John.

Nice capture and the timing couldn't be better. Great to get a clear view of the head with all that slashing water about.

I missed this one earlier. Really nice capture, good combination of movement and a still head. :toast:
