Those who hang out in the Avian Forum have watched with patience as I have posted an endless series of bird photos from Ecuador. It was all part of building my Ecuador web site. Well, it's up, and those who would like to take a look can go here and learn more than they ever wanted about the trip.
If I've done a decent job, there's a risk it will inspire you to make the trip yourself, either on your own, or with the excellent folks at Tropical Birding or take one of Nate Chappell's trips.
Ever since I went to Ecuador in 2000 to kayak a number of whitewater rivers on the east side of the Andes, I've wanted to go there to photograph it. It's a beautiful country, quite similar in many aspects to Costa Rica.
