Water Vole - Arvicola terrestris
With poo and all :biggrin:

Met up with Phil today and had a wonderful morning/afternoon with these guys. I can see how they become an obsession. Will be going back again tomorrow that's for sure!

Cropped and selective sharpening.

40D,EF300mm f/4L IS USM +1.4x, ISO 200, f5.6, 1/200th sec.

Lovely photo fran, his nose is sniffing the air :biggrin: great to see the hands, they have become an obsession with me too :biggrin: i see this is a very well used place with the vole droppings just behind him, lovely shot well done :wink: :wink:

An obsession with me as well so much so I havnt seen one yet and its driving me to drink.
The stretch of Wensum I visit is riddled with holes but only had the plop of one today and no sightings. So Fran as far as I am concerened you have done really well to get him out in the open complete with limbs. :toast:

Cracking shot, have spent a few days doing vole myself and to get one this nice isn't as easy as it might seem. Well done.
