I'm not real familiar with the issues of posting images in the galleries section so I have a question.

There were some suggestions made for an image I placed on the Avian gallery. I would like to repost the image after making those changes, which I like! Do I simply upload the new image or should I start a new post?

Same picture with changes, upload to a new post within the same thread,

At least that is IMHO.

(NOTE: I don't "do" avian, so members there may have different opinions. Mine is based on experience in the ESS gallery.)

I think it partly depends on how much time has elapsed. If it's changed the same day or day after the initial post, I'd just post it to the same thread, and change the title to include "(+ repost)" or something like that.

But if it's been a few days or more, a brand new posting would be appropriate. The problem with re-posts to an old thread is that few, if any, people will see the repost. If you re-post quickly, and change the title, people will usually still see it.
