This past weekend we had planned to do a get together with photographers in our galleries in Northwest Denver, however with the uncertain weather we decided to err on the side of caution and postpone the event. For the initial event we had photographers from Fort Collins to Colorado Springs who were planning on attending.
Chris and I have just talked and we will be rescheduling this event for Saturday May 16th at 6pm.
The purpose of these quarterly get-togethers for photographers at our gallery spaces on Tennyson Street will be to allow everyone to share knowledge we all have. The events will not be art showings, but will consist of presentations by accomplished artists, discussions about marketing, knowledge sharing on all aspects of photography by all of you, among many others. Of course the real purpose is to get together more often and share our common interest.
We have scheduled a kickoff meetup for Saturday, May 16th at 6pm at Bentwave and gallery nrc on Tennyson Street. We can get pizzas and other cuisine from Parisi across the street if everyone likes. This will be a great opportunity to begin thinking about stuff we can do at future meetings. Also, we don't want to limit this to only Denver area photographers, which is something we can talk further about too!
If you wouldn't mind RSVP'ing to the kickoff so we know who will be coming, you can do so here: http://gallerynrc.com/rmnp.php
Thanks and hope you can make it!
Neil and Chris.

Just a reminder this will be happening on May 16th. If you will be attending please let us know using the above link.
Also feel free to stop by both galleries this Friday for First Friday...
Yes we have alot on tap for the 16th, should be a great time. The discussions will be fun and engaging, so bring any ideas you'd like to share. Again, we'll get some pizza so everyone who wants to eat bring some cash. Also we'll have some coolers so you may BYOB if you'd like to also.
Just a reminder this Saturday is the first of the Get-togethers at the Tennyson Studios. On Saturday during the event we will announce an upcoming group show we will be having at gallery nrc as well as Bentwave.
All the information about how to RSVP and what will be covered is above in this thread. See you Saturday!!!
Thanks to all of those who turned out last evening. I have posted an entry on my blog with many of the online resources discussed, including the link to the art show information mentioned by CAZ which is on this site.

A PDF file has been posted online with more details about these proposed events. It can be located here: http://www.cgrphotography.com/dump/M162009.pdf
