Well i knew my luck wouldnt last... after missing the black dot issue, my camera decided to pack up this weekend, whilst on a pre-wedding shoot.
The manual tells u to replace battery..but that doesnt work.
I've spoke with Canon...they know nothing..so it will need to go back for repair. Looking at forums, and a canon pro dealer in London called Fixation...it could be a shutter problem.
If anyone out there has seen this, and got it fixed please let me know what they found, so i can speak to Canon.
Feel really annoyed that a 4 month old camera has gone wrong already
thanks
Steve

Searching the web would indicate that this may have been a problem with some of the early releases.
Have you tried upgrading your firmware to the latest version, I believe it's 1.0.7. In some cases this seems to have fixed the problem.

I bought mine in January, still had the older firmware.
