freeze tonight
With temperatures forecasted yesterday to get down to 20 tonight, I made a quick trip to the Little Buffalo River area to look for dogwoods and redbuds. Now the forecast is for the temps to get down to 25, so hopefully we will be spared the same conditions we saw a couple of years ago when everything was nipped in the bud. I'm keeping my fingers crossed...

NIce shot, Bill, it looks like you caught some of the advancing color. I sure hope you are correct and the freeze is not as bad as two years ago!

it is very nice to see some green up North, I sure hope it stays that way. Everyone needs to pray for some clouds tonight.

I hope you all are spared. We want the Spring Gathering to have lots of beautiful blooming subjects.

It was 24 over night at my house and I suspect it will be about that again tonight before a mild warming trend the next couple of days.

I like the early spring colors and the reflections of the tree trunks in the water. I also hope you get spared so I can see some great shots from the spring gathering.

Our redbuds and most flowering trees were wiped out last weekend and tonight is supposed to be about 15. Last year our redbuds were in full bloom late April, this year they started in March. What gives?

Nice shot considering how rare our color is!

Weather.com shows that after the 15th we should start getting the 70 degree highs. If that was correct would we get the flowers and foliage we're looking for during the Spring Gathering?

Bill,

I've been out of town since before the freeze. How are things looking now?

BTW: The color of that water is just perfect. Actually the color of the whole image is excellent.

We got lucky, Ed - no real damage at all that I can see...
