The clouds tonight over Denver were noteworthy enough for photos...

Took the 5D MkII out to test its L/E capability - excellent

Sample from Willis Case GC near Regis U:

ISO 200
f/5.6 & 20mm
30sec

Gotta say I'm impressed, excellent dynamic range and no noise to speak of... we've come along way baby

And another right at sunset (before #1) in North Denver.... What can I say I'm a sucker for these clouds, but I'm never in the right place!

Definitely interesting clouds, and thunderstorm season is around the corner.

#1 is very cool, I like how you managed to get the peaks in the scene too, cool clouds!.

Yes, I watched the wave cloud over the front range for a couple of hours to see what it was going to do. Then I grabbed my camera and took some shots close to home myself. I haven't had time to process them yet, so I will post mine later.
These are both cool. I like the shape in the first one and the color in the second.

CR, that first one is to die for! The second is run of the mill, as you admit (location, location, location!), but the first one, with the city lights glowing and the mountains on the horizon -- I'd say you were in just the right place.

#1 is a cool shot Chris.

Cool shots! While driving home, I was looking at the sky thinking what a great sunset it was going to be. Unfortunately I got home too close to sunset to get out anywhere, so I opted for a couple of shots from the backyard. Better than nothing I guess.
