The dogwoods are peaking as we speak at Petit Jean. There is one of to the left as you start down the hill on the Cedar Falls trail that is one of the most beautiful dogwoods I have ever seen. Here is a small low section of it. Petit Jean is looking very green right now even the Red Buds are getting green

Here is one of the waterfall at Davies bridge.

Beautiful shot Matthew. You found a beautiful branch for this image. That trail does have some beautiful dogwoods along it. Thanks for the update,

Really great shot! I like how the arrangement of the flowers leads your eye up through the photo.

Dogwood blooms make such beautiful subjects, and you've certainly done well with the composition of these. Nice work, and thanks for the Petit Jean report.

Nice shots! I like your perspectives and compositions. Oh, I've have a D200 for you to use at the Gathering with a MC-36 multifunction remote, Tamron 28-75 2.8, Nikkor 55 2.8 MF macro, Sigma 70-300 (cheap but descent lens) and a Nikkor 50mm 1.4 I may have with me. I don't have UV filters for that stuff, so you'll have to be careful with my stuff! I'm sure you have a tripod...

One condition... Don't take any pictures that are better that mine! HA!

Matthew would you please contact me via email as soon as possible? I need to send you some maps & directions to Rod Kissinger's cabin for the upcoming Spring Gathering and I don't have your email contact info.

Thanks in advance!

Wayne

Thanks everyone. I wasn't really expecting all the nice comments I received.

Aaron I have some UV filters laying around, I always keep something on the glass. Filters are cheap, lenses are not. It will be fun to get to play with a bunch of new stuff. I usually don't carry that much stuff with me. I usually just leave the camera on the tripod and carry it on my shoulder, but I probably won't do that with a bunch of stuff that isn't mine. You are probably going to get quite a kick out of the gear I have been shooting with the past few weeks. I hope the slides will back me up. I will know sometime next week I sent out 114 shots of Velvia 50 today.

I will try my best not to take anything better than you, but I can't make any promises. It is hard not to take great pictures during springtime in Arkansas.
