North St Vrain Creek, Wild Basin
I went to Wild Basin and snowshoed in with Rod Chandler. We got there just after sunrise and shot a bunch at the creek.
I've included a shot of an American Dipper and some ice and water images.

All were shot using my D200 and a 70-200 on a tripod.
Thanks for looking,
Dave

I love dippers! Nice capture! The golden gleam on the rock in #3 is lovely, but the photomerged ice is looking pretty flat to me.

Nice catch of the Dipper taking a dip, I really like the golden hues in #3, but the ice does have a greyish tone to it!.
How is the main trail up there, are snowshoes still needed or are hiking boots good enough to get to the Cascades area?.

Re-do of #3. I took off the vignette. Thanks Nick

David, it was great to have lunch with you the other day. I particularly like this third shot and your re-do is much better! :toast:

I like 1 and 3. The ice in 3 is distracting to me, but the colors and texture of the water are just great.
